Greetings,
My name is Deion Sims. I am the director of the Basketball Brotherhood, Inc. The Basketball Brotherhood’s mission is to strengthen all student-athletes’ academic status through education and life skills training. We are dedicated to improving all student-athletes’ basketball ability through skills training as well as agility, polymeric, and strength training. The Basketball Brotherhood encourages positive development of all our student-athletes. “We embrace the belief, that we are successful when our student-athletes are successful”.
The Basketball Sisterhood, an affiliate of the Brotherhood, 16u and/or 17u teams will compete on the AAU Circuit for the 1st time this Spring/Summer. Practicing and playing competitive games this Spring/Summer will build good character traits, develop basketball skill-sets, and increase college exposure. Ultimately, our aim is to better prepare team members for college.
Training sessions and practices will start in late February/early March. Expect sessions to be on Monday, Wednesday, and/or Sunday afternoons. Sessions and practices will be held at several locations in the West Georgia region.
The membership and team fee for the entire Spring and Summer is $310, and the membership fee is included. This amount is less than what it costs for most AAU programs, and we strive to ensure that our costs are kept to a minimum. The payment covers practice, uniforms and play with Basketball Sisterhood. The payment does not assist in covering tournament fees, team apparel and gym fees. We are seeking donations to assist with tournament fees. If we are not able to get enough funds to cover tournaments fees, we may be required to ask each player to pay a nominal amount for a respective tournament.
Please visit the Basketball Brotherhood website at basketballbrotherhood.wordpress.com. Most importantly, we want to determine the interest and commitment from our young ladies in playing competitive AAU basketball. If you’re interested, please contact Deion Sims at deion.sims2@gmail.com or 470-201-9787.
I had the privelege of playing 2 years of college ball in Georgia and one year of professional hoops in Australia with Deion. He is a great student of the game, leads from the front of the pack and has a very strong mindset and work-ethic.
Any young brothers or sisters looking to take their game to the next level and learn some life skills that will set them up for success in any chosen professional field would be in great hands learning from Deion.
Power to you brother, congratulations on your successes to date and keep striving for greatness!!
