Christmas came a day early, as 150 Christmas Stockings stuffed with socks, hats, gloves, toothbrushes and toothpaste were given to 150 children experiencing homelessness.

On the eve of Christmas, 150 Christmas stockings, 300+ pair of socks, 150 pair of gloves, 150 hats, 140 toothbrushes, 140 toothbrushes, 300+ snack packs and much more were donated to Haven For Hope, a place for hope and new beginnings for people experiencing homelessness in Bexar County, Texas. They provide shelter, basic needs and services that help individuals obtain and keep permanent housing.

From November 16th through December 18th, a Christmas Stocking Drive was held in the San Antonio, Texas area. The goal: fill 150 Christmas Stockings with items to give to kids experiencing homelessness. During the drive, people were encouraged to donate a Christmas stocking filled with socks, hats, gloves, scarves, undergarments and individually prepackaged children snacks.

The locations where items were to be dropped off were the Balfour Beatty Leasing and Management Office, where a drop-off box was located from November 21st to December 16th, and outside the Lackland Shoppette on December 17th and 18th ,where we greeted and met all of the people that were going to donate on those two days. Both drop off points were located on Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.

With the help of the San Antonio community, we were able to provide the 150 Christmas Stockings we needed to meet our goal! Hundreds of clothing items and prepackaged snacks were donated. Monetary donations were also accepted as all donations would go into buying enough stockings for 150 kids and filling each with a sweet treat, two pairs of socks, a pair of gloves, and a hat. We were also able to provide hundreds of toothpastes and toothbrushes to fill in the stockings as well.

We would like to thank everybody who donated. Without your kind donations, we would not have been able to meet our goal. We want to wish everybody a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
